- Sleep
You need sleep. Over the holidays you tend to stay up later “because you can” and because there’s often so much to do. A lack of sleep makes you feel extra scattered and cranky though, so do your best to continue to get 8hrs+ of sleep each night. The to-do list will wait! - Opt Out
There is no shame in saying no, setting boundaries and prioritizing yourself. If the idea of another family meal, or another holiday party stresses you out, just say no (and say yes to your self care!). Don’t feel forced into meeting others’ expectations, especially if they contradict what you need to look after yourself. - Go Easy on the Booze
Alcohol is a depressant, which means it negatively impacts your body and brain the next day and it lowers your inhibitions- which isn’t always a good thing! - Let Go of Perfection
The gifts don’t need to be perfect, the meals don’t have to be perfect either. Keep in mind what the Holidays are really all about.
