Yoga is about sinking into yourself.
I practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness as a way to make time for myself while honoring and showing gratitude to my body and mind. I try to slow down, stay balanced and grounded because I feel renewed as a result.
I discovered yoga when I was super fit and was striving to be excessively busy as a strategy to ignore life’s problems, driving myself to exhaustion and distraction. I started taking yoga classes to stretch after fitness classes and to fulfill my goal of trying something new each month. Before long, yoga became much more meaningful to me. Stretching led to breathing with intention, to connect to myself, which led to self-discovery and realization through difficult times. My difficult times led me to mindfulness and meditation.

I share my love of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, in hopes of providing strategies to help others unwind, de-stress, and to encourage people to make time for themselves to recharge. I enjoy helping others develop a connection to their mind and their body through breathing, stretching, and reflecting.
You will enjoy my classes if you appreciate a relaxed, slower pace with suggestions and permission to modify to help the movements feel right for your body. If you are self-conscious, inflexible, or nervous about trying yoga, I am confident we can ease you in successfully. If you want to know how movements impact your body, to find moments of stillness, be more mindful and present, then I’m the instructor for you. My classes offer slow and gentle flow movements. I teach with lots of compassion and care as I weave meditation and mindfulness into my classes.

Something extra you may not know about me? I love nature, the arts, travel, and essentially all things related to food!
