Masstown Market had the most beautiful Millen berries the other day. I couldn’t resist. It does feel somewhat misleading to post this entry under wellness because the amount of sugar is SHOCKING… but, the jam is delicious and it’s satisfying to preserve something with your own two hands that you can eat all winter long, that reminds you of summer.
My family has always made this freezer jam, as long as I can remember. But I have never made it on my own. I was always part of the process- the strawberry masher, the stir’er, the sugar adder. This is the first time I’ve completed the process solo, but thankfully my mother answered all my questions, as you can see!
The recipe is right on the certo box, with directions inside. But I also found this website helpful.
A team effort, but in the end- success…..the same can’t be said for my blueberry jam. Sigh.
