We’ll discuss seed starting basics and I’ll provide you all the supplies and guidance you need to get started. You’ll do the seed selecting and planting, leaving with six planted seeds in their own little reusable enclosure. Growing a plant from seed is a transformative experience. You nurture and support the seed- giving it soil, light, warmth, and water and in turn the seed nurtures you! Once we’ve been grounded through our planting experience, we’ll slow down and settle in to a restorative yoga session.
Restorative yoga is a mellow, low energy, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 poses. You can expect a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. The intention is to relax as far as possible into the postures, using as little physical effort as possible. The mind focuses on the breath in order to cultivate mindfulness and release tension from the body. Stillness is a powerful practice and an excellent antidote to stress.
